The Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM®) is an advanced, internationally recognised education programme for experienced professionals in the wealth management industry. It is set at degree/graduate level with a strong practical focus.

Study Objective

Graduates with the CIWM® diploma are eligible for key positions in customer advisory services (private banking).

Course duration

AIWM works with training providers in various countries offering instruction courses preparing for the CIWM® examinations. The course duration depends on the structure of the local programme. Some course providers integrate the CIWM® into a larger programme and several offer pre-courses.

Examinations

The examinations are open to anyone working in the domain of financial analysis, portfolio management, private banking, wealth management, financial planning investment advice and investment in general, provided that the admission conditions are fulfilled.

The AIWM may decide candidacy requirements according to local conditions, which may include the candidate having a local professional or other membership status in good standing, a university degree or equivalent in professional work experience, etc.
