How to Become a Member

Students

Students enrolled in the CIWM^® programme are automatically granted membership. Applicants should contact their local training provider for details on enrolment.

Professionals

There are two ways of becoming a member:

Those holding the CIWM^® designation are automatically eligible for membership of the Association. The form for CIWM^® designation holders to complete in order to apply for professional membership can be downloaded here.

Individuals without the CIWM^® designation may also join the Association. Experienced practitioners able to demonstrate at least five years of active practice in cross-border wealth management and with a university degree may apply for membership, which will be granted at the discretion of the AIWM.

In order to apply for AIWM membership on this basis, applicants should complete the application form and return to the AIWM with a full CV including confirming letters from at least three references supporting five years of professional experience and information on any relevant examinations obtained.

All members must agree to abide by the Association’s Code of Ethics.
